How to Post a Comment
Posting comments is an important part of our blog this year. Comments help to make the blog something we are all a part of, rather than simply us giving information to others. Feedback is a very encouraging and powerful tool in learning.
How Do I Post a Comment?
I ask parents who leave comments to please only use their first name if they do not wish to identify their child. Leaving a comment is as simple as this…
1. Click on the heading of the post you would like to comment on
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the post until you can see the "Post a Comment" section
3. Write your comment, being sure to proofread it for spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalisation
4. Enter the "word verification" text - this is important to ensure we don't get any spam comments on our blog
5. Choose an identity - if you have a gmail account you can use it, if not, simply choose "Anonymous"
6. Click "Publish your comment".
Important: Your comment will not appear straight away. It is sent to Ms Young's email for checking first.
What does a good quality comment look like?
Comments should be written in the style of a short letter, they should start with a greeting. Here are some other tips for writing a good quality comment:
1. Compliment the writer in a specific way; you could ask a question or add new information to the post
2. Write your comment about the post
3. Check your comment for correct spelling, spacing and punctuation before you submit it
4. Check that you haven't revealed any personal information about yourself in your comment
